Hi, I'm Cas. The bookmarks, lightboxes, shadow boxes and shelf decor I post on MakerWorld are free for you to print at home. If you want to print them and sell the prints — at a craft fair, on Etsy, in your TikTok Shop, that's what the Patreon licence tiers are for.
This page is the whole license, written like a person. What's allowed, what isn't, and how it actually works. No fine-print games.
What the licence actually is
A GoblinCas licence is a non-exclusive right to print and sell physical copies of GoblinCas designs. Licences apply to designs marked with a standard digital file license. You get one by subscribing to one of three Patreon tiers, from $5 / month:
- Early Goblin License (First 40), $5 / month
- Commercial License, $7 / month
- Extended Commercial License, $10 / month
The Early Goblin License has exactly the same terms as the Commercial License, at a special early price for the first 40 members. The Extended Commercial License adds more freedom for your shop.
You're not buying the digital files. You're buying the right to sell what you print. The files themselves stay personal-use, and re-sharing them isn't part of the deal on any tier.

Commercial License

The standard licence for selling physical prints of my designs: on Etsy, at markets, at cons or in your own shop.
You can
- Sell physical 3D prints of GoblinCas designs on any platform (Etsy, markets, your own website, conventions and more)
- Use the prints for personal or commercial purposes while your subscription is active
You can't
- Sell, share or sublicense the digital files in any form
- Modify, remix or redistribute the designs
- Upload the files to print-on-demand or file-sharing platforms
- Claim the designs as your own
Extended Commercial License
$10 / month
Everything in the Commercial License, plus more freedom for your shop.
You can also
- Use GoblinCas photos, renders and images in your own product listings and marketing
- Modify or remix designs to create and sell physical products
- Add branding, logos, names, resizing or minor edits to suit your products
You still can't
- Sell, share or redistribute digital files, including modified ones
- Sell GoblinCas artwork, renders or images as standalone digital products
Off limits on every tier
- Selling, sharing or sublicensing the digital files (.stl, .3mf or sliced files) in any form, including modified ones. Not even to a paying friend.
- Uploading the files to print-on-demand services, file-sharing platforms or model sites like Cults3D, Printables, Thangs or Thingiverse.
- Passing the files around in Discord servers, group buys or zipped bundles.
- Selling GoblinCas artwork, renders or images as standalone digital products.
- Claiming the designs as your own.
- Selling new prints once your subscription has ended.
On the Early Goblin and Commercial licences, modifying or remixing the designs and using GoblinCas photos, renders or images in your listings aren't included either. Those come with the Extended Commercial License.
Real questions, sorted
Here's how the Commercial License lands on the situations that actually come up.
You can
- Sell printed bookmarks at craft fairs, markets and conventions.
- List printed lightboxes, shadow boxes and decor in your Etsy shop or on your own website.
- Sell prints on TikTok Shop, Instagram, or directly via DMs.
- Take custom orders from your followers.
- Photograph your own prints for product shots, flat-lays and social content.
- Print as many copies as you like while your subscription is active.
You can't
- Send the .stl, .3mf or sliced file to anyone.
- Edit, rescale or remix a design (that needs the Extended Commercial License), or publish any version as your own.
- Use GoblinCas photos or renders in your listings (also Extended only).
- Keep selling prints once your subscription lapses.
- Strip the GoblinCas credit from your listings.
The fine print, in plain English
- Licences are only valid while your Patreon subscription is active. If it ends, the right to sell prints ends immediately.
- Credit GoblinCas where possible, with a link to the original page or shop listing.
- Intended for small businesses and independent sellers.
- Applies only to designs created by GoblinCas. Some fan-art inspired designs may have limitations on commercial use.
- Tip: subscribing through the iOS app can add a fee of up to 30%. Use a browser or the Android app to pay the regular price.
- Licences apply to designs marked with a standard digital file license.
- These terms may be updated over time. Continuing your subscription means you accept any changes.
- Violations may result in revocation of the licence and potential legal action.
How it actually works
Subscribe to the tier that fits how you sell. The licence goes live with your subscription and stays live as long as you do.
These licences are made for solo makers, Etsy sellers, BookTok creators, craft-fair regulars and small studios, not big platforms.
The free MakerWorld files use MakerWorld's Standard Digital File License: personal use, no re-sharing, no remixing, and don't claim them as your own.

Common questions
Can I legally sell 3D-printed bookmarks of Goblincas designs?
Yes — with the Goblincas commercial license. While your Patreon subscription is active, you can print and sell at craft fairs, on Etsy, on TikTok Shop, or anywhere else you sell physical goods.
Can I sell prints of Goblincas designs on Etsy?
Yes. The license covers any platform you sell physical goods on: Etsy, TikTok Shop, Instagram, in-person fairs, your own shop. As long as your subscription is active, you're covered.
Can I share the .stl file with a friend?
No. The license covers physical prints you make yourself, not the digital files. Sharing, sending, or re-uploading the files isn't allowed — even to a paying friend. That's true on every tier.
What happens if I cancel my Patreon?
The right to sell prints ends the moment your subscription does. You can keep prints you've already produced, but listing or selling new ones isn't covered after the subscription lapses.
How much does the commercial license cost?
From $5 / month. The Early Goblin License is $5 / month for the first 40 members, the Commercial License is $7 / month and the Extended Commercial License is $10 / month.
